ONGAA for Onshape

The guys at ONGAA have developed a cabinetry Solidworks plugin.  As I understand it, you 'attach' the ONGAA plugin to each component of your cabinet - and it then figures out what your Holzher, Biesse, or Homag machine needs to know in order to produce the part.  If you resize the cabinet, no problem.  ONGAA adjusts all the WoodWop or Biesse BPP processes for you.   I was wondering - since I believe that Onshape is the brainchild of the creators of Solidworks - whether there is a way to use a Solidworks plugin with Onshape.    That would open up a whole world of possibilities and transform Onshape from a cad system to a serious cad cam getter done system :)

No, you can’t use desktop add-ins in Onshape but if the ONGAA guys want to write an app for Onshape then they are more than welcome.

Fair enough.   All I can say is that while Onshape is a great cad system no doubt about it...the [ at least from what I can tell ] persistent  inability to parametrically hook it into  cam / cnc machines remains its Achilles heel.
