Re: Inequality & modulus constraints?
There is no boundary constraint in OS, and I haven't seen anything like that in any other CAD software either. However, you can definitely use variables to drive your dimensions, and those variables can be the result of fairly complex branching logic. For example, you can make your hole spacing dependent on a variable that… -

Re: Splitting a solid only part way through
It is not possible to create an infinitely thin 'split' part of the way through the part AND (in the test i ran) a surface used to split a part that extends only part of the way through, is treated as infinite and split the part entirely. _Dave_ is actually correct, create a sketch defining the width of the slot and cut it… -
Re: Helix and Sweep Problems
I have come across this too, when trying to model threads. A lot of thread forms have a profile that has a width equal to the helical pitch by definition because there are crest and root radii. IMHO, not being able to sweep these cases constitutes a (minor) bug and the work-around constitutes a work-around. -
The ability to use other existing sketch dimensions in another dimension within the sketch.
I am not a professional CAD designer, I use CAD software for hobby purposes, I have until recently been using Inventor under an academic licence, as my situation has changed I can no longer use Inventor, and I cannot justify the expense for hobby purposes. Hence I have moved to Onshape as it looks to be the best… -
How to make a certain shape.
So I have an L shape and then, I have a rectangle connected to the L but it is connected to the part with one square. But it doesn't let me create the shape. I have a L shape that has a 1.75 width, which is 2 .75 blocks for me. But it is missing one part, it is missing the base of the L. I'm not sure if I explained that… -
