New Feature - Banana for Scale
Do you struggle to design real world objects within the confines of a computer? Do you lack the discretionary funds for an apple vision? Do you have difficult design constraints such as "would a banana fit in here?".
Introducing the newest feature from the SmartBench team - Banana for Scale.
Banana for Scale is simple to use - simply insert the feature and select your reference object. You can choose between a Quarter, a Banana, Microwave, House, or even the "American Football field" (Finally, a unit system engineers and project managers can both misunderstand.)
.
Use the manipulators to precisely position your banana, rotate it, or gently nudge it into place like a true professional For advanced users, enable Parametric Ripeness, allowing your banana to dynamically adjust length based on environmental conditions and how long it’s been sitting in your kitchen. Stuck with legacy desktop banana models? Coming soon - a migration tool to convert those desktop bananas into cloud based banana bread.
Worried about international compatibility? Don’t be. Banana for Scale automatically converts between metric, imperial, and “vaguely fruit” units. (note: results may vary depending on banana curvature.) And for enterprise users, we’re proud to introduce Banana Simulation: run stress tests to see how many bananas your design can withstand before upper management gets concerned.
While Banana for Scale does not consume any API usage, it does count towards your Onshape banana limit.
Stop guessing. Start scaling.
Because if you can’t measure it in bananas… is it even real engineering?
Happy April 1st everyone!

Marble Machine Motivation
Greetings fellow educators!
I'm so entranced lately with watching the Wintergatan - YouTube series. With the help of @Derek_Van_Allen_BD (and constant shout outs to @EvanReese ), we get to see the creative process unfold in real time (although the after real time, 1.5x speed is the more realistic option).
I'm sure he'll have the entire process as a playlist eventually - but I was tired of hunting down between live streams and edited videos - I made a playlist. - Playlist of Marble Machine Videos.
From Master Part design, to the love of all things mate connector, to all sorts of custom features, and design for regen time - there's a ton of treasure to be found.
Re: Best way to repair micro gaps?
It is highly frustrating to zoom in and select point by point if there are say 100+ constraints to make.
@owen_sparks suggestion of automatic heal with tolerance would be perfect.
