Pot holder that attaches to my window on existing holes for a window lock I removed. The holder comes on and off quickly when the blinds need to be down.

When you update the configuration within the derive feature, it updates the part studio, the assembly, drawings of the part studio, and drawings of the assembly. I modeled the part here and then derived, and used for an assembly and drawings here. Hope that helps!

Thanks Seth. Unfortunately, the configurations don't work from a view-only link with that method. Also, if I'm understanding correctly that works going from part > drawing and part > assembly, but not from assembly > part, or assembly > drawing?

My assembly is made up of around 50 parts, all of which are sized to suit the overall size of the assembly, so it would be a HUGE time saver if all the drawings could update as per the assembly configuration rather than changing the configuration in 50+ parts or drawings.

Make one part studio that can have different combinations of options. You can configure lengths, suppressions, color, material, you name it!

Custom Apps - Learn how to make custom apps
Thanks to Onshape's API, custom apps have almost limitless automation possibilities. Unlike FeatureScript, which is limited to the part studio, apps can access any tab and even connect with outside sources.
Here's an example of using Onshape's api to change all specified properties for all tabs in selected documents.

Mate Connector with multiple Owner Parts? Shared?

This goes back to my "in space" Mate Connector for parts that don't physically touch. I would like at least two parts to "share" a Mate Connector. For the moment I need to create two Mate Connectors, one owned by Part 1, the other owned by Part 2. (and Part 3...) which are on the same "skeleton point" in the Parts Studio. The Mate Connector would have to be "rolled" to the end of the feature list. Or listed the way Surfaces are in the lower list. OR the Mate Connectors are listed under the Part to which they belong. Looking at the Feature List you can't tell which goes with what until you Edit them....I guess they could be renamed to stay organized.

Smooth, automated camera motion animation in Onshape

Hello,

I am wondering how the smooth camera effect was created in the animation on the main Onshape website https://www.onshape.com/ See the gif below and attached for reference.
I am looking to create a similar animation with my own assembly, but I can't seem to find any information about how to do it.

Camera placement in a specific point inside the model

Hello

I am doing a viewing angles analysis and I would like to use onshape for this purpose. I am looking to afeature similar to solidworks where I can place a camera on a specific point inside the model, define its pose and lens properties and get the view of what does the camera sees.
