Re: Cut list giving incorrect results
I use a sketch to allow dimension from a line that is perpendicular to the tube when I want to dimension over all length.
It would be nice to have an other means sometimes like selecting a parallel to set dimension orientation.

That piece of UI is specific to the standard sheetMetalStart feature. I don't think you can coax it to work with your feature. Sorry.

The part that really gets me is when you have to click on "restore", and it's right next to "Delete", always makes me sweat!

Not sure I understand your question correctly, but if you circular pattern the full 360, it will figure out the spacing for you.

The distance of holes in Part 9, or the the length in parts 4 or 5 is a bit off, creating an ambiguous situation that cannot be solved. The grey triangle (Part 2) kind of over-rotates. The same would happen in the real world.
In my version, I shortened Part 5 by 1 cm and that makes it work.

This is why I rarely use the up to part option. Often, you can avoid this by using up to face.

I of course am making that opinion with many years of hindsight. And it is an opinion. I've never once used a drafting board after graduation other than to set the big monitors, cpu and mouse and keyboard on. Any skill that can be learned manually on the board can be learned using CAD. And as time goes by we are seeing the need for 2d fading more and more. Will be interesting to see what's possible in just a few more years.
