Re: Custom Feature: Mold & Die Design
@NeilCooke I love this toolset for rough tooling layouts and cavitation estimates.
I have been trying to use Variables to set the Mold width offset or the overall mold stock width….but it doesn't seem to work. It can take the variable and the value once, but then once you accept the Mold Stock feature, it no longer uses the variable.
Is this expected?
I'm guessing that you might ignore these because it might allow a user to make a mold stock that is smaller than the part.
Thanks again for a great toolset - and I second all the folks calling for a full-fledge feature set for the real tooling designers using Onshape.
Re: Custom Feature: Mold & Die Design
Hey @romeograham ,
Have you tried the 'update' button? (right behind the Depth total input)
Out of curiosity (I've only developed injection molds in Onshape and saw people working in Solidworks):
What other feature's are you missing for tooling designers for onshape to become 'full fledge'?
Re: Custom features - 3d Points and Variable Pitch Helix
I added CT points to my toolbar. Having both length or percentage options is very nice.

@S1mon thank you for your comment. Let us know if you come across any bugs.

Re: Custom features - 3d Points and Variable Pitch Helix
@S1mon we have published new version V3 of CT Points which has support for creating points closest to a reference. Please check it and let us know if you have any comments.
