Re: Convert assembly directly to part studio
Load your assembly with all the parts required and in the positions you want and click the icon shown here (create Part Studio in context). Once you have your new in context part studio do a translate copy all parts in position which will be shown transparent.neil_brennan said:How do you "create a part studio in context"???? I get that it probably solves the problem, but have no idea how to go about it.

Yes, we're working on supporting this for custom features, but it's going to be a bit of time before it's available.
Re: Need advice on how to make my Airflow Bottle waterproof
I'm realizing all of the advice here assumes we have to use the FDM machine. You could hire someone to print it on a resin machine like a Formlabs, and it would be easy to get a print that doesn't leak.
Save Sheet Metal Parameter Profiles
When I am designing sheet metal, I spend too much time looking up bend radii and k factors when I change materials, thickness, or shops. It would be very helpful to be able to save named configurations of sheet metal parameters. That way, I could select the correct parameters just by recognizing the name of a profile, such as, "5052 Aluminum, .063, Send Cut Send."
Updated Custom Feature: Bounding Cylinder (now published)
I finally fixed some tricky bugs in this and it seemed ready to release. I usually use it to simplify motor packaging in robots.
New Custom Feature: Integer Belt (published)
Calculates the actual c-c distance and integer-tooth belt/chain size needed for two given pulleys.
Produces a sketch, and a named 2D curve.
Re: DXF / DWG EXPORT UNITS
I have had to re-export four complete jobs since this change. It has cost me many hours of work.
