Re: How to join two parts in Assembly into one part (for 3D print)
Thanks for clearing things up. The way I go for now is to assemble all parts in assembly. Then only select the parts I need to attach together and export it to separate STL file.

@GregBrown you inspired me with the Violin video.
Here's a quick scan using the Creality Ferret scanner for anyone who wants to try out some of the new mesh tools. It's pretty accurate for a budget scanner! A bit annoying to get a proper scan since it kept loosing track of the object.

Wow this release is a real slugger! I'm always happy to have my features made obsolete by better native implementations 😍 Can't wait to play with it all.
Re: New FeatureScript: Cosmetic Knurl
You could have some sketches then sweep them along the cosmetic paths to remove the material.
Or you could use the Texture custom feature to get a similar result.

FYI they have identified a bug here, its getting fixed. That is of course the down side of regular updates, especially when you have built a lot of specialist bespoke stuff under the bonnet… As much as I love the regular updates, every now and again they make something fall over that was working before.

Any one else tried opening the configuration tab following this update?
Its empty for us, but only in some documents? I will raise a bug report, but if any one else has issues please reply
Re: How do you change the dimensions in a sketch on iOS?
No, this is incorrect. The free version has full functionally. If it's your own part that you modeled from scratch, you can edit it without issue. If it is someone else's public model, you must first "make a copy" of it, (which is now yours), and then you can edit it as before. You can't edit someone else's model, because it would then mess them up.
Re: New FeatureScript: Cosmetic Knurl
@zy_su to use this you will need to click the link above and add the custom feature to your toolbar. From there, you will then be able to access that tool in your own part studios.
The tool requires you to click a face, then it will automatically add lines to the face. This is for cosmetic purposes since the Knurls are added via machining and don't need to be created in the model unless you are 3D printing.
