Trouble converting to sheet metal part

Hi everyone,

I am having trouble adding a flange to a piece of a model I have built. I had made a previous version and added the flanges without any issues but for some reason I seem to be missing something vital here. Could someone assist me in understanding my error?

You will have to use sheet metal thicken

like @mbartlett21 is said.

You can only use sheet-metal tools on an active sheet-metal part.
Extrude is just a normal part.
So delete the extrude and use the thicken option in the sheet-metal model command.


Then you can add your flanges

Or you can use this feature, which will recognise the part. It also allows you to input a bend allowance
