Recommended books on parametric CAD in general?

Hi,
I was wondering if there is any good book on modeling with parametric CAD in general. All the books have I found so far are of the kind "3D Modeling with Software X, Version Y". I am more interested in general ideas and strategies.
The kind of book I have in mind would be like the excellent "Digital Modeling" by William Vaughan, which explains surface-based modeling for the gaming or movie industry in a system-agnostic way.
Thanks and best regards
Christoph

I like the "How NOT to create a parametric sketch" illustration on page 9
IR for AS/NZS 1100
That book put all my favorite pet peeves into words. You would be suprised how often i re-make parts from scratch after picking up the slack fro m other designers... good read
