Help with mating rotary to linear assembly

My Assembly Link

Hi guys, I'm hoping someone can help me with connecting mates on a rotary to linear assembly. I can get the wheel to rotate, I can get the piston to slide, but I can't link the pin on the wheel to the slot on the piston. What's the correct mate to use? At first I thought a pin slot mate would be suitable as the pin on the wheel will traverse the slot of the piston, however I get a constraint error, perhaps this is because the slot is moving on a perpendicular axis?

I've sussed it. I had to make the pin on the wheel a separate object that could rotate about it's own axis, otherwise any connected mates would also rotate with the pin which messed up other connections. Once the pin could rotate freely I used a slider mate in the piston slot.

If anyone is interested I created a version here.
