Onshape Gives Back

As much as we like building the next generation of design platforms, that’s not the only thing Onshapers are passionate about. We are very involved with our communities and believe in giving back to the cities and towns in which we live and work.

One of the events we enthusiastically support is the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC). The PMC is an annual multi-day cycling event that raises money for research and care at the world-renowned Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) in Boston. The PMC-funded research done at DFCI has advanced treatment and outcomes for cancer patients worldwide. On the first weekend of August, six Onshapers will join 6,000 other cyclists riding 192 miles over two days from Sturbridge to Provincetown, MA.

2019 will be the 6th consecutive year that Team Onshape has participated in the PMC. Over this time we have raised $154,998. We support the PMC because we all have stories about how cancer has impacted our lives and we want to help DFCI fight this disease.

The PMC raises more money for charity than any other single sporting event in the country: $654 million since 1980 and $56 million last year alone. We also appreciate that 100 percent of rider-raised funds go directly to DFCI.

Here’s a 5 minute video from last year of Dr. Toni Choueiri from DFCI explaining why he rides in the PMC and how funds from the PMC benefit his patients and their families:

We thank you for being part of the Onshape community. If you are able to support the work that DFCI is doing by contributing to Team Onshape’s PMC ride, we would be very grateful. Click here to donate: https://profile.pmc.org/TO0063
