The sweep tool is deleting my sketch?

Every time I try to use the sweep tool it deletes the sketch I am trying to sweep. 
 Has anyone else had this problem? If so does anyone know how to fix it?

    Every time you create a feature from a sketch, the sketch is hidden by default. Click the eye icon next to the sketch in the feature list to show it again. All this and more is covered in the free training videos at learn.onshape.com
