Adding 3D points failing. What options?

Trying to use 3D Point ( FS 3D PointV 2.4) to add points with the 'Along Path' option. It works on sketch curves but not 3D curves like Bridge or 3D spline or surface boundary. Is there a newer version or other idea on how to place points along 3D curves?

IR for AS/NZS 1100
Thanks for looking into this! Great to have this FS till OS has capability. I have a handful of failure examples all on 3D created curves. On my real job percentage on Surface Boundary was failing but been unable to reproduce. Distance does fail.
