Simsolid

Seems to be about a year since there was any posts by Ken Welsh, does anyone know if the Onshape version of Simsolid is being actively developed still.
A search of this forum shows posts suggesting pending improvements to bring features in the desktop product. 
I was about to purchase a subscription, but I don't want to invest into something that might have stagnated.

    From what I understand, SimSolid was sold to Altair. From discussions with a sales person there about 6 months ago they were planning on continuing it as a product, but figuring out where it fit in with their existing products. They had a cloud solution already, but not like SimSolid.

    As an Update, Ken Welch replied to an email i sent him, they are still actively developing the cloud version. He said they are about to release some additional features in a week or so.
