Sheet Metal from Lofted Part

I'm struggling with converting Part 1 into a sheet metal part using the same methods as my previous 3 sheet metal parts. Part 1 is a loft. Any advice?

The left and right sides of Part 1 we’re not planar. That’s why it couldn’t be made into a sheet metal model.

To see how those sides were made planar, check the items in the Features List after Sheet Metal Model 3

Once I applied the Sheet Metal Model tool to Part 1, Part 1 was no longer Part 1. It became Part 19, and all the other parts shifted so that what was Part 2 became Part 1 and what was Part 3 became Part 2, so on and so forth

Thanks Steve. I wonder why the loft introduced non-planar features? Sounds like a great checkbox to add to the loft dialog box. Thanks for figure this out. It was late, and I was frustrated.

WE NEED SHEET METAL LOFTS. Onshape's SM is not complete without it.
