As you can see I am not a Pro or Enterprise user so I can not verify much.
This is intended to start a conversation .
Please correct any of the following statements.
The new capability “Category” provides a framework for organizations to manage exposure of Property based metadata to Onshape based partners.

Rules
A Property is always a member of a single Category.
A default Category is named “Global” and is initial Category parent upon creation of a Property.
Special status object and as widest audience Category.
A Property can be queried for the Category they are assigned.
A Category can include (nest) other Categories.
A Category can be inherited by multiple (parent) Categories.
A User ID can be assigned multiple Categories
