Converting a solid to sheet metal, preserving outside dimensions

Isaac_BaerIsaac_Baer Member Posts: 3 PRO
I can't figure out how to convert a solid to sheet metal in a way that preserves the outside dimensions. In other words, I can only make a sheet metal model that contains the solid, not one that fits inside a solid. Is this possible? Most of the time, this is more useful to me than the default option.

Try selecting the "Opposite Direction" button next to the Thickness dialog:

    Should work for you.

    Good luck!

While on this topic please notice that you can specify additional clearance

And have it enforced for bends as well:
