Having trouble trying to loft

I'm trying to loft these two faces together but I can't seem to get it and keep running into

You will need to give this one some help.  Loft likes to match vertices so either do like I did below (a single side surface at a time)  or split your rectangle into the same number of vertices as the thread and manually match them up.  Going to take some trial and error to get what you want.  You may also want to extrude the rectangle to control curvature.

Thank you for sharing @anthony_glorioso. As @bruce_williams said, breaking the profiles out to have the same number of vertices is the best way to create this type of feature. The approach I took was similar to Bruce, but I also added several 3D splines to help guide the loft.
