Nice fillet corner! but why doesn't it work in the Selection Fillet feature?

I ran across an unusual situation today where I was pretty sure the fillet would fail, but I tried it anyway and found that it worked and produced a pretty awesome corner blend. Bravo to whomever at Onshape made that happen! However, If I pick the exact same edges with the Selection Fillet feature it fails. Can anyone explain why? (I updated the FS library in the Selection Fillet, thinking that perhaps this could be recent, but it didn't help) this is client work, so I can't share the document btw.
