Why when I loft 2 surfaces its smooth, but when I add a guide it adds unwanted lines?

I'm trying to loft 2 surfaces together and use lines in different sketches as a guide. When I first create the loft, there is a smooth transition between the 2 surfaces. When I add the first guide it is still smooth, but when I add the second guide, the loft is messed up and isn't smooth. Why is this happening?
Loft with no guides
Loft with 1st guide
Loft with second guide that messes it up (arrow points to line I don't want)
Loft with no guides
Loft with 1st guide
Loft with second guide that messes it up (arrow points to line I don't want)

Your guide in Sketch23 was not coincident to your profile corner in Sketch1. And your profile corner in Sketch24 wasn't coincident to the guide in Sketch23. This was causing the extra line, which when you zoom in is actually an extra surface.
