How to let team members delete files in shared folder

I am on a robotics team and my coach created a team and a shared folder to make a CAD model of our robot. We were downloading the parts from places and I accidentally downloaded the wrong stuff. I tried to delete it but it wouldn't let me. The file was in a team within a shared folder that my coach made. She looked on her side and the permissions to delete files was greyed out not letting her give me permission. Do I have to let her delete all of the files or is there a way for her to give me the permission? Any help is appreciated.

alnis Member, Developers Posts: 452 EDUIt looks like the delete permission is greyed out in sharing for folders and documents for me, too. I recommend having the teacher delete the files in this case. In the future, I recommend using a team to share the documents rather than a folder. Document owners can still delete their own documents, and it gives you a bit more control and organization with sharing.
I recommend signing up for the education plan if you are attending a school, seeing as you are on a robotics team. Sign up with the same email so that your account is upgraded rather than making a second (duplicate) account. https://www.onshape.com/en/education/
Also, if you are importing parts for FTC, you can check out the info here to be added to the standard parts library (it will save you lots of time and effort with imports): https://ftconshape.com/introduction-to-the-ftc-parts-library/
If you're doing it for FRC, check out MKCad: https://www.chiefdelphi.com/t/pic-introducing-mkcad-the-onshape-frc-parts-library/161295
Here are some more resources for FIRST teams (which also probably apply to other robotics competitions): https://www.onshape.com/en/assets/first-robotics/onshapeforfirstteams.pdf
