Can I make one piece two different colors?

I'm doing a project for my CAD class and I'm making a lot of the same exact part but each one needs to be a different color. I've been making the part individual each time just so I can have it be another color. Is there anyway way to make one piece have multiple colors in an assembly?

For your application, you can configure the color of the part in the Part Studio. You need to create a Configuration table, then in "Configured Part Properties" you set color for each body.
Then, in the Assembly, you can change the configuration of each instance as needed to get the colors you want.



You can even configure the appearance of individual faces.

You can add a configuration table in the part studio or configuration variables for red, green, and blue together with the part color custom feature:

In Part Studio / select one or more faces / right click menu / 'Edit face appearance' .  Then the instance in assembly will match.

In the assembly, if I import the same part twice, can I change the color on each to be different with out them both changing to the same color?
