To use Onshape, each individual (student and teacher) will need to have their own account. For EDU, users can create their free education account here:https://www.onshape.com/en/education/
Creating an account only takes 1-2 minutes. They fill out the form, get an activation email, and setup their password.
Then when you are working with a class, you can create a TEAM of students and share a document with everyone. You can have everyone work together in the same document, or have them make copies if you want them to work individually. There are lots of options!
The free plan is great if you are going to see lots of different groups of students. They all get individual accounts that they can continue to use and you just have to share any assignment/starting documents if you want to.
The other option is Education Enterprise, which will be a paid plan. This sets up your own private domain where you can control who has access, invite users in bulk, see everything that is happening in the enterprise, and have administrative controls. If you are interested in the Education Enterprise, you can fill out this form to talk to the Education Team and find out if the enterprise option is right for you: https://www.onshape.com/en/education/enterprise
Here's a link to more information about the Education Enteprise: https://www.onshape.com/en/resource-center/articles/why-you-need-onshape-education-enterprise
