I tried to import a dwt file into OS and it did not bring in the logo

The DWT file was created with Autocad 2013

Images embedded into the drawing template is not currently supported in Onshape. A workaround might be to convert the image to DXF geometry with something like Adobe Illustrator (if the logo is simple), and embed the DXF logo into your DWT template file before uploading to Onshape.
Warning: This will increase the size of each drawing by quite a bit5
