FEATURE REQUEST: Custom mouse controls

igor_ordechaigor_ordecha Member Posts: 2 EDU
Onshape currently only 5 predefined mouse control profiles, Sure, you can add more(eg. for tinkercad and fusion360) but there will always be people not perfectly happy with the controls. I, for example, would like to use onshape settings but with Rotate and Constrained Rotate(I just hate "regular" rotation and I don't want to hold alt all the time) and I can't do that because no current predefined profile has that and there's not "Custom" option

Absolutely agree with this! I would love the option to edit those, particularly because I prefer Constrained Rotate.

I'd also love the ability to use "mouse gestures" -- so I could add something like RMB + move cursor up to open the "measure" tool, for example.

Agree 100%, although evenadding a profile that just switches rotate and constrained rotate would be really appreciated

I need this badly. I don't like the limited options for mouse controls, none of the presets have what I want.

bump. feature request. mouse gestures like that of solidworks, and RMB to a window that allows for custom shortcuts.

    thank you

Bump! I really want to have the same basic controls as in the slicer (Orca Slicer) I use for 3D printing because I'm back and forth between CAD and slicer all day long. …and my fine motor control dexterity is dreadful, so with controls being inconsistent I'm constantly doing the wrong thing. Let is specify which mouse button to use for each basic operation…Pan, Zoom, Translate, Rotate. Thanks!

I don't know about Orca, but if it's anything like Bambu, you can use a 3DConnexion SpaceMouse and get similar behavior mapped in your slicer and Onshape.
