Translate and Pour

Trying to get this assembly to translate in the x-direction as the decanter assembly rotates 180 degrees.  It looks like a rack and pinion motion but I can't get it to work.

    Here is one method you could use to do this:

    • Ungroup the needle from the MRV
    • Create a slider mate between the Needle and part 1
    • Create a revolute mate from the MRV group to the Needle, set your limits here
    • Add a Rack and pinion relation between the slider and the revolute mate
    • If you want to animate the mates, right click the revolute mate and selecte "Animate"

    Thanks for these tips - very helpful!  The needle even travels with the decanter without rotating which is what I wanted but it's 180 degrees from where I had intended it.  Still wrapping my head around some of the mate relationships, but I did figure out that I had to remove Mate connector 3 to be able to make the rotation and then reapply the mate.
