Is there a FAQ section for "Stupid Questions"?

I've been struggling with several stupid things as I've been learning and using OnShape (free account retired educator who wants to use OnShape to teach CAD to students).  There really needs to be someplace where one can go with simple "how do I..." type questions.  For example, when I create a linear array in an assembly, how do I reverse the direction of the array after I've clicked on an edge to define the direction?  Or, can a variable dimension be given a value when it is placed in an assembly, and can a second instance be placed with a different value?  These are the sort of dumb questions I would like to be able to look for.  Thoughts?

The answers to questions about basically every Onshape tool (and quite a bit more) can be found on the Onshape help page, which honestly should be more visible to users. Of course, it doesn't really help if you don't know which tool you should use in a given situation, but even then, being familiar with the different options can help you figure out ways to accomplish your goals.

Your first question about the assembly pattern is answered on the Onshape help page. For your second question, I would encourage you to look into part studio configurations.

    Just ask 'em.

If people don't think you've really tried to figure it out first, you may get a dud of a post, or short answers with just keywords or links to research on your own time, but in general most people here remember what it's like starting out with CAD and won't fault you.

Also, Alex is right. Most of it is in the documentation if you know what to search for. Use the question mark inside of your feature dialogue.

Those are exactly what I've been looking for.  I don't know how I missed these items in the help files.  I'll work through some of them tomorrow.  Thank you very much.
