Superscript and Subscript text

I am trying to indicate the area of a face in a note.  Is there a way to add the superscript character "² " without having to look up the ASCII character code?  It would be nice to have more options available in the text dashboard.

In case anyone else has the need to do this - Hold down the <ALT> key while typing 0178. (Must use the number pad and not the numbers from the keyboard.)  When you let up on the <ALT> key, the superscript character will show up.

Other codes that might be useful are: 0179 (³ ), 0176 (° ), and maybe 0177 (± )

(In Windows 10: Type "character" in the search box on the taskbar, and choose Character Map from the results. You can highlight, select, copy and then paste the characters from there into your document.  Or take note of the keystrokes in the lower right corner.)
