When I insert a image onto a surface I can see it on the other side.Is there any way to fix this?

By definition, surfaces have a thickness of zero, which can occasionally cause some weird behavior. Try using a part wall with some non-zero thickness instead, or offset your image from the surface a slight amount so they aren't occupying the same space.
