Could someone please shed some light on the subject of milling gears for me? I am wanting to mill a herringbone gear out of some pre-turned cylindrical stock. Has anyone attempted this or actually achieved this? attached is an example of what I am wanting to do

Public document is at: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/41cff3114db5487eb0f1c62b/w/d91e6c6bac6c4f7885db229f/e/28f5917be6554bc79ba6226e
It may not be the exact size, but the feature history will show the best way to model up something like this.
I added the teeth as solids, but if cutting from stock, now that I think of it, it should be cut instead of solid sweeps. Just the inverse profile would be created with the same steps however.Regards,Mike LaFleche @mlaflecheCAD7
