I'm try to assemble/join three parts to a turntable counterweight holder and it a little beyond my ability. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Can you post a link to your document? I searched for it but the document I found only had one part in it.
I might have found it. First of all, I find it much easier to work with parts at an assembly level than surfaces, also your surfaces don't truly fit together they touch at 2 points and are gaped at the other two points on the ellipsis. If you are okay with these issues, I think the easiest thing to do is use the transform command in the parts studio. I'm not sure what your design intent is but here is one option, I just dropped it into an assembly and grouped it for the fun of it.
