Hi I'm recently new to Onshape (join yesterday) and my current sketch has a red line that stops me from chamfering my object. Does anyone know what this is and how to fix it?

Welcome to Onshape and the forum. It is best to go through the excellent tutorials at https://learn.onshape.com/
Your sketches are not constrained correctly. Red is indicating over constraint and Blue is not constrained. Your goal is all Black for your sketch elements. For over-constrained, you can show constraints and then delete the offending ones that are not needed.
