How do I mate these legs to the table top?

I don't know what mate to use and which bits of the parts to mate to each other.  

I managed to mate one to the table top but I don't know how I did it.

Hello. Open your first mate feature for editing. Select the offset option and edit the Y direction offset to a value you desire.

I would prefer to to select the Fastened Mate feature from the toolbar and hover over the top of the tabletop with the cutouts and select an inside corner to apply a mate connector then hover over the top of a table leg and select an appropriate outside corner to place the second mate connector. Again check the offset option and this time select the Y direction to apply the offset value.
