Does anyone else experience this? When I select to update linked document, the system can take anywhere from 4 seconds up to 15 seconds(maybe more, I'm ball parking). However, if I grab the dialog and simply move it, the available updates appear instantly. I'm wondering why this is so and hoping there is a way to just make the available updates appear instantly without having to move the dialog.

This issue has been identified as a bug and we're working on it. It's a great find, and hopefully it will lead to speeding up the behavior of this dialog for everyone soon. Thanks for reporting!
