Trouble with attaching a piece; Error message "mate over-defines assembly"

For a project in my robotics class, we are following a tutorial on how to create a fancy cube on Onshape. The videos we are following are linked here:
The dimensions have been checked, and I believe I have followed every direction correctly (directions for these parts are detailed in videos 4, 14, and 20 in the playlist), but each time I try to attach the handle peg to the the right face using a cylindrical mate, I encounter the error message: "mate over-defines assembly". Any ideas on how this could be fixed?
