Precise Location of Beams Using the "Handles" to Align

I am having trouble getting beams aligned the way I would like. I'm using a custom rectangular profile, dimensioned  from the origin at one corner.
When I snap it to the line, it shows up offset the opposite direction of what I want, and I can't get it to flip using the arrows.

There are angle and mirror controls in the Beams UI which should cover all orientations.

Do you have a screen shot show what's going on, and what is expected?

Sometimes you need to use a couple of beams features to get everything right
