Replicate Tool

Since the updated replicate tool came in a while ago it seems that if another mate is applied to one of the replicated parts the replication fails.
Is this correct or am I missing something?
I have had to stop using this otherwise useful tool as it seems to be too restrictive for this reason.......as I say, I may have got this all wrong!!

    You are correct that’s it’s behavior now. I too was not happy about it and put in a feature request help-desk. 

    That said, now that I’ve used it a month, on balance it saves a lot of time.
