Is there a simple way to find out if students are copying drawings from the internet and submitting them as their own work or sharing their completed work with other students allowing them to submit them as their own?

Yes - if you open the Versions and History tab (top left in the Document) that will detail everything they have done and when they did it. If you click on "Start" the document should be empty - if it is not then they copied it from somebody else.

This video https://learn.onshape.com/learn/video/evaluating-academic-integrity-of-documents walks you through that Neil describes. It also includes ways to evaluate cheating if you are using EDU Enterprise with analytics.
