Cross Sections Perpendicular to the X Axis

george_gardeygeorge_gardey Member Posts: 2
I am working on a project in calculus right now where I have to create a graph of a shape and then turn it into a three dimensional shape by making cross sections of squares parallel to the x axis. I can't just extrude to a certain depth, because the depth is equal to the width of the shape at that point. How do you do this?

I think I remember that chapter in calculus.  You could do a loft between several cross sections.  That kind of gets you there.
