Does anyone know how to get this to work? In my case, I have assigned polished aluminum to a part. I have then dropped "Add displacement" onto the part. I have then dropped a "file" option onto one of the available parameters of the displacement that is attached to the appearance. I have tried dropping onto either of the parameters. I have then selected the parameter that seems to be now driven by the file option. I select the action button and load in my displacement map file.
Nothing happens. I adjust all the settings and though the view port appears to be regenerating after changing things, no displacement is ever observed.
I have been able to see results by using bump maps but displacement seems to do nothing. I'm sure there is a super obvious thing I am missing here.
