The other suggested route would be the CAD Basics learning pathway in our Learning Center.
If you have specific feedback, please do submit it through the curriculum feedback form.
So far, we have just finished Unit 1. The kids seem to enjoy it. It does go faster than the recommended time frames. Is there an answer key to the assessments? Just to double check. Thanks. I love the instructions next to the video tutorials. Very helpful!
Glad you're enjoying the curriculum! Send an email to curriculum-support@ptc.com requesting the answer keys and someone will send them your way.
Okay, now that we are in Unit 2….there is a spot in 2.2 where students really struggle. It is when they are creating the truck baseplate. They offset lines from sketch 2 in a new sketch (sketch 3). Many students tend to try to offset sketch 2 on accident, and the biggest issue is in ensuring the holes are included when they extrude. Any tips for this?
I don't know how much help this will be, but you can click the animations in the instructions and they will go full screen. Maybe watch them 2 or 3 times through before moving on.
Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed the Unit 2 Design a Skateboard unit. The Assessment with the modelling practice was great! We even 3D printed a few of the designs to see what they would look like! Fun!
I'm having a hard time with the prop from the spin copter project (Unit 4 of the curriculum). I have worked on this for a long time and feel like I'm doing exactly what the instructions say to do and mimicking the instructional video exactly, but when I do the final remove extrude it always creates two additional parts. Here's a video of me doing the sketch and extrusion if anyone in inclined to help:
@david_eckstrom388 When I try to watch your video, I am getting

Looks like you don't have access to view this video.
Please reach out to the video owner for more information.
Make sure your Merge scope for that final extrude is just the Prop.
