Aligning two different parts on a Drawing

in Drawings
Is there a simple way to align 2 similar parts on a drawing? They would be almost the same size, but slightly different details.

This is about the best method I have found. It used to bug me quite a bit when I first came through the worm hole from SolidWorks. But eventually, I just started finding it not really that necessary and 95% of the time, what I just did here is actually overkill.

Please explain this method in detail
I just used a horizontal line on the point of one view and extended it out under the other view. I just used the line as a visual reference to be sure the two view were basically aligned with each other. Then I deleted the line that is not needed anymore and from there, I just group select both views anytime I want to move them so that they travel together. There maybe better ways now though. I think it is possible to actually group views so that they always travel together. Another way would be to project a view off of the first view, then project another on off of the projected one. This will make all three view stay in line.
You could put them both (or more) in one single drawing view (e.g. by means of a dummy assembly) and show the one but hide the other part(s) not needed in the aligned views. They will auto-align like normal projected views.
