Mate connectors on shell.

Am i able to use mate connectors to connect shapes to the inside of a shell. I'm trying to connect a small triangle to the inside of a cylinder. Is this possable with pate connectors or do I need to use another tool.

    @zachary_robinson972, make the document public and post the URL.  Position the two parts relative to one another in the assembly (at least approximately).  A picture is worth a thousand words ... and a CAD model is worth way more than that.
