How do I make a hollow dome so that it is attached to the bottom part?
I have tried using loft but could not figure it out.

There are several ways to do this. Here is one approach you could take:
    • Revolve the dome as a new surface.
    • Thicken add the surface as a solid part to the main solid part.

It appears you have put the linked document in the trash. So no one is able to open it.

It's hard to know exactly what you want, and of course there will be a million ways to do it, but here's one way.
