Intersection Curve Tool - not working?

matthew_stacymatthew_stacy Member Posts: 487 PRO
The "Intersection curve" does not seem to be working today.  Is it just me, or is anyone else having this issue?

The tool icon displays on the toolbar across the top of my browser window, but the dialog box does not come up when I select the tool.

We don't upgrade docs that have not been touched for a period of time simply to reduce overhead. It's usually not an issue since old docs (such as library parts) can be inserted into new ones no problem - once the owner touches the doc it will be automatically upgraded in the next cycle. To manually upgrade now, you can either contact support or you can trash/restore the doc which forces the upgrade cycle.

Working here - if the doc was not upgraded it wouldn't show up at all. Try a hard browser refresh or clear the cache?

@NeilCooke, the issue appears to be isolated to a particular document.  The document in question was copied from a forum thread earlier this morning.  My copy is shared-with-support.

Clearing my browser cache had no effect.

A forced upgrade fixes it - support can do this for you.

@NeilCooke, if I understand you correctly, that particular document (last automatic update Feb 1st) has not received an automatic update since well before the Intersection Curve tool was introduced.

What are the normal criteria for applying automatic updates?  Is it odd that a document evaded updates for this long?

Thanks for the information Neil.  That is a very sensible document management approach.
