How to get part dimensions?

I want to get the dimensions of my part, but I'm a total noob.

I'm in the parts view, selected the part, right clicked (read on this forum this is how you do that) but I cant see the option "Show dimensions".

What am I doing wrong?

    the show dimensions thing only shows up on parts you've created natively so it's not going to work on this import. If you just click two things though, you'll see a little tape measure icon at the bottom right with some dimensional info, which you can click to expand. You could also consider making a 2D drawing of the part and adding a number of different dimensions there for later reference.
