Drill a cylinder with a sphere

I'm trying to design a bearing, and I'm new so...
I have a cylinder, and I'm trying to make it hollow with a sphere.
I learned how to make a sphere, but for the life of me, I cant figure out how to place it exactly in the middle of the cylinder so I can drill it out.
So that tiny sphere sticking out of the bottom, should be right in the middle of the cylinder, and then revolve a full 360 so that it hollows it out.
Any suggestions on how to do that?

Oh that is clever! Using a rectangle with a circle cutout! Thanks!
