Face numbers change when changing a scaling variable

gael_fontainegael_fontaine Member Posts: 2
Hello,
I have an issue with the use of variables. The design is a basic extrude from a sketch, but it appears that when I change either dimensions or scaling factor, the selected faces' numbers change and then aren't selected anymore... Could someone enlighten me ? Thank you !

scaling factor = 1
scaling factor =1.1

Face IDs in sketches seem to be somewhat brittle. You could always scale the resultant extrusions using the transform feature.

Are you able to use a transform feature at the end of the tree to scale the parts instead of scaling the sketch?

EDIT: I would submit a ticket regardless as this shouldn't be happening just from scaling (as long as the scaling doesn't cause some regions to be removed/added).

I can't quite tell but it's possible the order of the variables has an impact, maybe make sure the scaling variable is the first one?
