how to split a ring in four equal parts

Hello there I'm a biginer on this wonderful program, and I'm stuck with the following.
I design a ring that I would like to 3D print, but I need to cut this ring in 4 equal parts.so I will guet 4 sectors.
I try to use the tool split but somewhere I guet lost. Can sombody help me with this

    As I can only guess what kind of ring you made a quite simple solution:

    Draw two perpendicular lines intersecting in the center of your ring. The lines cut your ring into 4 equal sized parts. Then create 4 solid parts separately ...

    Here is one approach that will do this:

    Split will work, however Thicken might work better in this case so that you have tolerance for the pieces to fit together in the real world.
    • Use a sketch to determine one of the split profiles. I suggest a shape that is self aligning.
    • Extrude the split sketch as a surface.
    • Circular pattern the surface.
    • Now, you can either use the Split tool, or the Thicken remove. Selecting the surfaces from the part tree on the left is an efficient way save clicks.
